On June 7 of this year, the Supreme Court ruled that TPS holders who entered the U.S. illegally are ineligible to apply for permanent residency. This means that people who came to the U.S. illegally, fleeing from their dangerous countries, will only be able to stay in the U.S. for a limited amount of time. Thousands of immigrants from all over the country have been affected by this decision, and say they will fight for change in this country.

As of now, TPS holders are protected from deportation, allowed to work in the U.S., and are eligible for travel authorization for a limited period.
