According to Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the United States is facing the “biggest surge” ever of
undocumented immigrants crossing the border in 20 years.

There have been more than 170,000 undocumented immigrants arrested at the border of Mexico-United States roughly in April, according to The Hill.

Approximately 40,000 undocumented immigrants were able to avoid being arrested, according to The Hill. As days pass, more people cross the border in hopes of a better future in the U.S.

However. with Biden’s strict restrictions on who can be arrested,
the overall number of people arrested by ICE has decreased tremendously during the first 100 days in office of Biden.
